I was out at the drags Friday night and ran against a 2004 Extended cab with a dealer installed Whipple supercharger. It surprised me at first when he was able to keep up with me. I was impressed that a 5.3 kept up so I stopped and chatted with him about the truck and was amazed it had the whipple on it. I figured it would be faster with the charger. I think his fastest was a 9.86, 1/8 mile of course. I had to tell him about Allen and his programming talents since he obviously needs the PCM reprogrammed to make his truck not be such a dog. I can't wait to see him again so that he can blow my doors off next time.

I don't think 2004's run much different than older models stock.
    I have a 2000 RCSB 5.3 3.73 w/G80 only mod a drop in K&N
    and recently bought a 2004 RCSB 5.3 3.73 w/G80 only mod is
a drop in Fram Airhog. They both run 10.0's at 71 in the 1/8.
The 2004 feels a little more powerfull driving, but seems to shift
worse than the 2000. Probably just a little difference in TM and
    electric throttle.
