I guess you're not the guy I just helped yesterday that PM'd me with the same problem? I have horrible memory sometime. Anyway....move the ballast relay ground straight to the big one on the firewall in front of the driver or straight to the frame. If you are the same guy, let me down easy. If not, hope the guy I did help chimes in.
You have automatic lights? If so use a relay harness. The ballast surges power back through the connections it probably make a sensor go haywire. My shops vette did the same thing.

When you get your relay harness make sure your ground is solid, somewhere on the block or frame works perfectly.

Gah-lee a lot of you dudes are having troubles with the H.I.D.s, I haven't had any trouble yet. I'm using the DDMtuning kit with no relays and they never skip a beat. I say that now and tonight if I drive anywhere they will go haywire.

Sticky/broken gauges? I can help. PM me for details.
I know nothing about HIDs but was able to make a SWAG. Good thing since we brought to light another issue for the OP....the relay.
