Ok i have some questions for everyone. I have a 03 Sierra ecsb. 5.3 So far i have edelbrock headers, flowmaster duals, KN intake, HPP3 . As far as the engine goes that is all i have done. The more and more i read, the more i think i need allen to set me up with a tune. I want to get rid of some of the torque managment however i dont want to fry my tranny. What is a safe percentage, i am assuming that i should do a transgo shift kit with it? Correct? I like the idea of allen's dual tune, how much of a performance difference will i see? The last question is this, when the weather is nice i run my 20's on my truck however when it gets bad i but my 285 bfg's back on, i like to have my speedo correct, will i be able to use my hyperteck to do that with the allen tune? Sorry for writing so much but you guys know how it is. Thanks for you help. Pat

Allen does not lock your PCM when he tunes it so you will still be able to modify your tire size. I would steer away from any tuner that locks the PCM. Locking the PCM does nothing but insure the tuner gets all your tuning business.

If I remember correctly you have to return the tune stored in the hypertech to stock before allen tunes it. Once he tunes it you can reload the new tune into the hypertech, modify the tire size and then download it. I have read where others have done that to sell the unit to others. If you don't return the stored stock tune back to the PCM the hypertech thinks you are trying to tune more than one vehicle with the unit, which it doesn't allow. The hypertech unit doesn't know if you've changed the stock tune or not, it just stores the programmed data. It would be impossible for them to store all the possible iterations of factory tunes in the unit for comparison.

That makes sense that the Hypertech would store the new tune.
