    trans go

    I am going to install my shift kit on monday what do i torque the the valve body down to when i reinstall it.

    The kit should have all the torque info on the installation paperwork I think.

    it will be in inch lbs so be sure you have a tiny torque wrench. Its about 96 in/lbs. Somewhere around there.

    Thanks ya i got a 3/8 torque wrench that goes down to 60 inch pounds so i am good. 96inch pounds sound good too me.

    Just use an impact on it, that'll be tight enough.

    Some are 89 in/lbs but most are 97 in/lbs. The roller spring bolt for the shift detent is 27 ft/lbs.

    I just got my new 3/8 impact and 1/2 impact today so I will have try them out on something. I just turn them down to the lowest setting and i should be fine.
