    Converter wont stay locked

Put in a 3000 stall in my truck over the weekend. Tried the 90/100 settings in the TCC PWM tables, helped it lock nicely but whenever I get off the throttle it unlocks. Locks up about 3 seconds after getting back on the throttle. This is hella annoying on the highway.

    08 Sierra 4.8 4L60E w/vette servo.

any one have any ideas for me to try?

    I have HPTuners.

Looks to be a frequent problem. I also have this problem (aftermarket TC). There is some good reading of the same issue over at pt.

I've tried adjusting the TCC Apply Release Speed tables, no dice. In 4th gear for i have increased the 0 and 6% TPS from the stock 35mph (much lower than hwy speeds ex. 70mph) to numbers even lower.

One other thing is currently the T42 PCM does not have all the tcc control tables of the older GEN III LS1 PCM's had:
{D1007} TCC Throttle Release - Second Gear
{D1008} TCC Throttle Release - Third Gear
{D1009} TCC Throttle Release - Fourth Gear

I'm very eager to find a solution to the problem. Not only is it anoying on the hwy it also a pain in town.

I also have this problem on the highway with my 3400 stall and 01 camaro trans. I let off the throttle and when i get back into it, it revs to 2500 or so then pops back into OD. Also takes a while when accelerating to speed to go into OD. Does it also in lockup in 3rd. I have Hp tuners but am afraid to mess with it because I dnt wanna screw smethin up

Mine does that too. Really upsets me but I've lived with it for a couple years now.

I can't imagine all the FBody guys having this problem and there not being a publicly posted corrective action posted sticky.

It's probably in the tune. If it ever locks and doesn't set codes I wouldn't be looking at the T/C, the trans, or the wiring.

RedHeartbeat - Not sure who that was directed to.. But, yes i'm running the truck T42 OS that came with it. Wonder what OS Slimsilverado is running.

If it was a matter of dnloading a different OS (and all the junk that goes along with) that didn't exhibit this problem I'd be down with giving it a whirl.
