yeah, they will progressively get harder to find as they find their way into street rods and recyclers. SDPARTS.com no longer stocks the LQ9. Everyone is making the migration to the L92 and L76 engine due to higher HP numbers and lighter weight. The LQ9 is going the way of the LT1. Oh, forgot the LS3 as an alternative swap engine.

thx guys i had been googling my vampire self all night and aevery page i got so close to finding one they said out of stock what a bummer but isnt the 6.2 a little diff then just the regular 6.0 how much of a diff is there actually

chuy, you sent me a pm, your truck is an 08 , what motor does it have in there now? is this the truck youre wanting to put a new engine in, or lq9 in ?

i wanna put the lq9 would it be just a regular swap or would i have to fab up the mounts and all that

if it has the 5.3 in it now the lq9 will swap right over.. but you mention it being an 08 with a 5.3, i would think the 6.2 would be the way to go, maybe someelse would chime in and answer my question which would be if an 08 came with a 5.3 would a 6.2 swap right over?

yeah i just wanted a bigger engine then the 5.3 and i figured trying the 6.0 but hey if the 6.2 is better ill settle for that i just want a swap not trying to get all into the fabbin

instead of swaping motors ,just go forced induction and use the money for that.theyre isnt anything wrong with a 5.3 .look at jjturbos setup and he has a 5.3 or had ,cant remember.
