Well I got my 6.0 today but a little disappointed. To start with I was supposed to be getting a 07 6.0 out of a truck, but the ball got dropped. Instead I was sent a 08 6.0 out of a van. Looking at Chevy's website the van is about 40 less HP and a little less torque. On top of that he forgot to send the pedal and MAF. The 6.0 I got has zero miles on it. Should I just keep it for my OBS swap or get a 6.0 or 5.3 from a truck? What is different in the 6.0 for the truck to have more HP?
its the same engine just different tune and exhaust, thats where the lost HP is. With a good tune you'll never know the difference.

a lot of the guys here use the site sponsor, NelsonPerformance.com for all tuning. He can set it up for performance, shift modifications, remove any emissions devices you're no longer using, modify for your gearing and tire size and any other changes you may be putting in place like converters, removal of cats, performance cam, addition of headers or whatever you have going on in the new setup.
