Thread: 3:23 to 4:10 =retune?

    3:23 to 4:10 =retune?

    When I switch gears (which will be soon) I'm thinking that I will need to get a retune. My ? is I had to get a crank relearn the first time I got a tune does that mean I will have to get one again? Also I will be getting a g80 is there a break in process I will have to do or can I get in it and put it to the floor?

    Yes. Speedo will be off, and abs lights and ebrake light will come on. My speedo is off by lke 15mph. and I had 3.42's before going to 4.10's Crank relearn might need to be done again, but I doubt it.

    yeah there will be a break in process for the g80...

    you flooring it, the g80 breaking..

    I assume the g80 I buy will be used will it still need to be broke in and if so what is the process? Also will I need to install the PCM before/after/during?

    No break in for the g80 Instal the tune after the gears. Heat cycle the gears probably. Just drive arround for like 30 mins. let them cool for a while, drive arround a litle more, let them cool over night and you should be good.

    yeah thats what I did with mine and my eaton. Drove around took it easy and so forth, let them cool, did it again

    I probably would do an easy breakin anyway just to be on the safe side
