    need advice..

I've been told by a mechanic that I killed my truck with my 4.10's for sand racing with my 31'' tires because it is too quik for the sand and my truck sinks.. I thought about gettin' a front detroit true trac to help that a little bit and might change my tires for bigger ones.
Do you all think that my plan would work out for the sand ??
By the way, what kind of set up do I have?
    10 BOLT 8.5'' 28 SPLINE or 30 SPLINE ???
what tire should I get ??
    Pre-thanks.

Your's is a 30 spline but I'd swap out to a 9.5" 14 bolt rear if you're running that hard with large tires and pushing sand.

It's pretty much a straight swap out since the 4x4s have always had the 6 lug bolt pattern you have. About all you have to mess with is maybe shortening the driveshaft and inch or so. Boneyards are full of 4x4 14 bolt axles.
