First Kill With The New Motor!
this might be a bit long but i figured id post it anyways... so basically this weekend i somewhat finished my swap and took the whole day saturday and put my 4:56's and auburn LSD in aswell as my pinion shims... my pinion was at a -10 degrees no wonder my driveline was so screwed...
so anyways my buddy jason and i were on our way home about 2 miles from my house and we passed a house with a older style 2wd dodge ram in the drive way probably a late 90's early 00's. it was slammed with some kind of cragar rims or w/e so i gave them about 5k when i drove by. no one was outside but we were screwing around anyways... so jason says to me wow i bet they are scrambling to the window to see what the hell that was and i just laugh. so we continue on our way probably going about 45 and im about 1/4 mile from my house when i happen to check my rear view and see a while dodge crawling up my a** and im like oh god this guy is pissed hes gona kill me lol. so we round the sharp corner before my house then its about a 3/4 mile long straight stretch. so im slowing down to turn into my house when he pulls out to pass me. so im like SCREW YOU BUDDY and nail it in 2nd and he was at my door when i hit it and he immediatly stopped moving and stayed next to me until about 80 and i pulled probably 2 lengths on him to 110 i was amazed he stayed with me that long so i give him a thumbs up and we pull over. he hops out and says what the HELL is in that thing so i tell him all ive done etc etc and he tells me his is a 5.9 360 with some work done to it shook hands and went our ways. nice guy i was just excited for my first kill. my buddy with his 96' 318 dakota with some work done wants to run tonight so ill post up on what happens there. sorry so long!! just excited to tell.
