    HP out of Handhelds

Wanting to find out what u will actually get out of a handheld such as Superchips, Hypertech, or Diablo OBD style tuners. 5.3 Tahoe. Just want to keep it simple for wifey's ride. Prolly change out exhaust as well. Thanks

Meaning nothing i guess. I can at least change shift firmness, get rev limiter, and some HP I would hope.

I was happy to get my $100.00 bucks out of mine.
A real tune is so far advanced than a handheld tuner. It is like night and day.
When I got my real tune it felt like someone changed the entire engine and transmission.

+500 You will regret that hand held when an identical truck with a real tune walks awayfrom you... you will love getting a live tune from Nelson Performance - Performance without Sacrificing Drivability

Like we all said... Nelson gives +35 hp and about a full second off the 1/4 mile.. at least for me anyways. to geta full second off the 1/4 mile doing something else, I think a 100shot would give you a full second off.

heh, not all the time!! But again you get what you pay for Nelson tunes are badass imho and to top it off he puts up with all my b/s changes and sends me new tunes all the time! I want to change shiftpoints and cam, no problem. new PCM is here before the parts by a long shot. I dont even remember what I paid him for the first tune at this point. And btw I still have my diablo to monitor the engine sensors till I get a wideband O2. After that the predator will be a paper weight, I am not even sure I would sell that piece of **** to anyone.
