Coincidentally, in today's local city newspaper, the picture on the front page is of a semi that rear ended a Toyota Camry that was stalled in the middle lane of the freeway. The truck driver hit it full speed and killed the 4 year old girl that was in the back seat. Amazingly, the mother driving lived. The semi's front end was in the back seat and the front wheel was riding up and over the Camry's rear wheel. It was nasty.

thats so sad to hear stories like that but the truth is it happens everyday all over this country and it just sucks that a lot of people on the road, professional or not, just dont realize that every second on the road could be their last.
Can you imagine what was going through that mother's mind as she was sitting in her stalled car on the freeway and saw that semi coming at her at about 60-70 mph? Knowing her daughter was in the back seat!!! Assuming she saw it anyway. I would have to think she was either looking back at her daughter or in the mirror since she was stalled on a freeway. Where else would you be looking?
Can you say nightmares??!!! I bet she wishes she had died too. I would.

jeez i always see people cutting off semi's it makes me mad, i always yield to them
my dad driveds a truck, when he started driving one, he told me how to respect them and how to defensively drive around them. unfortunately most people dont think about the consequences when they are in a hurry, and in todays world we're ALWAYS in a hurry. My dad drives for HEB and about a month ago one of his fellow drivers thought he had a blowout on the trailer and pulled into the yard to have it fixed and come to find out a person on a crotch rocket had smashed into the truck at a high rate of speed and ended his life. the wreck was so intense that it blew the tire out and bent the trailers rim, but the driver only thought he had a blowout and was right near the yard. they say its torn him up pretty good mentally, im glad i dont have to imagine that.
I just saw a motorcycle vs. a truck about an hour ago. I have seen quite a few accidents but this one was the worse. The motorcycle blew by me going, maybe 70. He was going in and out of traffic. He t-boned a truck that had the right of way. Saw the female passenger and driver go flying over the truck. That $h** still has me shook up.
