got a tint ticket today

on my way back from lunch today i was on 180 my radar went off but i wasnt speeding anyway so i saw the state trooper headed the opposite direction he was in the far lane but was stairing me down , iwas like whats his deal i am not speeding well sure enough he turned around and pulled me over at first i thought it was for no front lic plate, but he said my tint is two dark he said was 4.5% theres no way its that dark

dude i feel ya. i have two. the trooper pulled in the local tastey freeze one saturday night and said my windows were too dark. then he said my eyes were glassy so i got to do a field sobriety test . but i passed tho.

its always something i have had then windows tinted since i bought it 2 years ago and had no problems this trooper looked new i have seen him around here , i am just tired of being profiled lowered truckes catch hell around here

quite a few years ago I had limo tint on my 81 chevy and I got pulled over by a hiway patrolman at 1am. He was going south towards houston and I was going north towards dallas. He said he saw my window tint was too dark from across the highway in the dead of night. they just use it as an excuse to be dicks from time to time. Idiot asked me how much I had to drink that night and I told him honestly that I had maybe about a quart. He had me doing the roadside test after that. I did two tests and then asked his partner if it was normal for him to require persons drinking kool-aid to take roadside sobriety tests. His partner laughed and they went on their way after writing me a warning for the dark tint. To say the least, no more tint for me on side windows.

i duno what the limit down there is but in maine its 50% on side windows and i dont believe its regulated for the rear i have 35 on sides and 15 on back but i have a tint *certificate* saying its the legal limit so if i get yanked over for it they can chum it. cops are dicks i gota go to court monday for a ticket i contested on the highway...troopers are the worst..

Did he test it if not id say something about it in court you might get out of paying it. I got pulled over for tint before and my license was suspended he tested it and it was legal so he had to let me go. I thought for sure I was going to jail

well i got stopped the other day on I10 heading east and got stopped by a trooper, haha it was lady at that, she pulled me over to give me warning about my rear license plate.the holder (ring) was cutting out TEXAS half way, she told me TEXAS had to be visiably clear ( all letters) i was like what the FOOK!!!!

The tint law in texas is 35% on the front two. I am waiting for mine. Crew did they make you cut an x with a razor. i heard they do that now. Can't wait to see what they tell me about the windshield being done.

no they didnt make me cut it or anything he said i 15 day to take care of it , he told me the darkest i could have is 25%
