    Gas Mileage....

OK, kind of scary...I knew my mileage would be bad, but not this bad. I haven't actually figured it up in MPG (guessing around 10 mpg - maybe less), but I filled it a few days ago (Tuesday) and had to fill it again today (Friday). $57 bucks on Tuesday and $54 today. I have trounced on it here and there but I don't drive around like a madman everywhere I go. I think the tank is around 20 gallons. Anyway, let me know if you think that's about "right" or if maybe something in the tune can be tweaked to get a little better mileage.

Over the next couple/few weeks, I'll have to take it easy because of the new gears, so I'll get a feel for what a laid-back week or two of driving gives me.

sounds like you need to put the wideband on there and check your fuel ratio as you're driving to see where your gas is going.

Can AF ratio make that much of a difference?

check the tune, it could be dumping fuel to early and to much of it.

I think Virgil has the tune pretty close with the exception of A/F, jus tbecause I didn't have a wide band at the time. I have one now and will try to get it figured out...

And I know that's the point of A/F ratio, my question was more if it's off - can it really make THAT much of a difference? Is it possible that that's the primary/only cause to my fuel consumption?

Moze the only reason i suggest that is because that happened on my dads truck (2003 2500 hd with a 6 inch lift and 35 inch tires with the 6.0) allen did his live tune but i guess something happend and it was dumping the fuel to soon. my dad went from 12~ mpg to 9. allen fixed it and he is now getting 14~

Well, I got the True Trac installed today and he found out that the emergency brake was too tight and was wearing my rear rotor down. So hopefully, that's part of the problem. Also need to get the wideband on and check A/F ratio. Hopefully between the two, I get some mileage back.
