    Removing dipstick tube...

I'm feeling really humbled and stupid right about now, like I'm missing something obvious. Anybody else ever have trouble removing the oil dipstick tube?

LOL, I do those things some times, but this time I'm puzzled. The 15mm on the head, yes I removed it. I actually figured I should have mentioned that. Nevertheless, thank you.

I broke the thing already since it was stuck so damn good in the block. I figured it should have just pulled out after removing that bolt, right?

They just get stuck over time. Mine broke too, so don't feel bad. They are a crappy design.

The dipstick tube, unbolt it, twist the tube and pull and it comes right out if you disassemble your engine every 10k miles like me.

Thanks guys. I hate braking something, and then thinking about how it was really supposed to come out. That is a crappy design.
I don't think the trans stick tube ever gave me any problems... but the clip-in lines, they're another episode.

To clear any curiousity, I'm working on installing pacesetters.

i would have suggested spraying some pb penetrate on the bolt then let it sit....unbolt twist slightly then pull up...my came out with no problems when i put my headers on....just be sure to not damage the seal at the end...

If you break it...just silicone the hell out of and stick it back on. The 15mm bolt will help the silicone to set.
