My CC 4.8L only gets 16.2 MPG. You should be very happy at 20 MPG!

I am not sure about the 4.8, but my 5.3 went down considerably...but that may also be tied to the fact taht my foot is stuck in it all of the time! My 10.2 MPG is the result from a cam, stall, and a heavy foot. But i also have noticed my needle drops a lot faster when my e-cutout is open...

damn some of you guys get some good mpg. Mine is 1 month old and nothing done to it and im lucky to get about 17-18 on the freeway. I have the 5.3 and was told most people pull 20 on the freeway.

    Thumbs up

new engines dont run quite as good as engines that are broken in. With Allens tune I get about 20mpg, but I have to use 93 octane. Tyler was right though, keeping your foot out of it is hard. Most people dont get a tune to save gas, but to go faster. I wouldnt worry about gas mileage, if you are that concerned Id get a 4 banger or a hybrid. unless you are an engineer and know how to do multi displacment on our trucks, youll never get over 22mpg IMO.
