Anyone used one of these? I was reading Greg Banish's book about tuning and he speaks highly of their accuracy. The price for one is very fair. Its made by NGK and they make lab quality wideband sensors that hold 1% accuracy.

i got a question! is narrow band even worth havin?
2009 CHEVROLET 1500 with a MONSTER 4.8 between the frame rails!!
Tuned by LSX Powersports ~ 4.10 ~ JBA Shorties ~ 4" Inlet/Outlet Spintech ~ Airaid Coldair
CST 3.5" Spindles ~ Camburg Upper Control Arms ~ 2.5" CCM ~ FFR Tie Rods
Full Throttle Suspension 3" Lift Blocks ~ Soft 8s wrapped in LT285/70/17 Silent Armors
Red you read the wide-band shoot out over at PT.net ?
The Innovate product won hands down .
I have seen several VE tables done with other brand wide-bands and they are most of the time spiky , but that could be the tuner , data , filters , but everyone likes what they like , and any wide-band is better than a narrow-band . My2.$
A tuned MAF and VE is oh so sweet , and a nice timing table is good to .
Now what is a tune again?

Your PCM requires NB sensors. Wideband is for tuning or reference to the layman. Some guys swear they can tune by the NB sensors just as accurately as a wideband. As for Innovate, I guess you get what you pay for. Honestly, I would trust the opinions of professional tuners rather than guys like me that just play with tunes. I would call on the larger shops or tuners that do 10 or more tunes a week and ask their opinion on which wideband to go with. I know the entry level Innovate LC1 was supposed to be troublesome. I have a FAST unit myself and since I only play with it I can't really give any opinion of its performance other than that it turns on when I tell it to and never misses a lick.

One thing most people forget is , can the LSU be calibrated (free air calibration) , everyone agrees sensors degrade over time and you need to be able to recalibrate to compensate for the wear factor .
Some do , some don't , but get one that does and when the sensor is worn or not working at all the controller will let you know , unlike most non-calibration type controllers .
The JAW was a great find on PT.net , cheap and a true DIY .
