what gear ratio to go with?

i have found out, due to a bad weld, that i need a new set of gears. the truck has 3.73's in it now, but i was thinking about going to 4.10's. what do you guys think?

it is my daily driver, or i hope for it to be one day, but my daily driving consists of a 7 mile round trip to work and back, and just basic driving around town. not much if any highway driving.

and, i live about 15 mins. from redline, where i hope to be able to take the truck pretty frequently once most of the bugs have been figured out.

    its a rcsb 79, ls1 with a 224 551 crane cam and lt's.

    th350 tranny.

    thanks

    jack

Yeah, depending upon tire size your engine is going to be screaming at 70 mph. With 4.10s, OD and 27" tires mine was running high RPMs at highway speeds.
