I just lost 3rd gear. Tranny is a 4l60e. If someone in the Dallas area has a stocker they are selling for less that I would have to pay to have it rebuilt (waiting to see what that is exactly), please let me know.

Hey bud - just dropped it off tonight at Lonestar...I think they just need to replace the 3-4 clutch packs. I lost 3rd gear.
I'd call and ask if they'll drill the oil bleed hole in the input drum to bleed off the residual oils that partially apply the clutches at high rpm due to centrifugal forces pushing the oil up to the outside of the plates. The blue plate specials came with an instruction sheet to do that.
