Was that the only way GM would replace the complete engine, drain the oil and then lock it up?

ya, im no crazy man. I replaced that engine after it was towed in and the customer threw a rod. It came back rapping like that on a GM reman only 600 miles later. GM wanted me to remove it..tear it down..then do a cost comparison. I said blow me, and did the customer a favor. GM Powertrain can eat me.

Yea its easier for them to blow it up for a new motor, then tear it down and see if its cheaper to rebuild. Gm just being pricks. Happens alot on warranty things.
