Who started the rash of bad luck?

Who started the bad luck with torque converters and transmissions lately?
My torque converter started coming apart last weekend, sending trash throughout the transmission.
I'll be having FLT go through the trans and freshen it up.

Im sure it is a combo of large tires lots of hp/tq and a tranny that doesnt slip. I would be willing to bet after beating on it so long there was just too much heat build up time and again from WOT blasts the clutch material gave in. Is it the triple disk or the 5 disc? What size trans cooler are you running?

I'm running the Tru-Cool MAX 40,000 GVW rating. My temps were always in the 170-175 range. The day that it crap out, I seen the temps get up to mid 190's.
I don't remember off hand if it's the triple or 5 disc. I'm pretty sure Chuck had it spec'd out the same as he spec'd Parish's convertor.

My fingers & toes are crossed.

Of course it would have to run to tear it up.

Sorry to hear about that though.
