I guess I deserved this one.

Well I was coming down south mopac from my buddies house late last night after picking up my truck, got on to 360 going towards ben white, and there were a few cars in front of me, so I decided to jump out to the next lane and just hammer it. Of course I use my blinkers and so forth though. Anyway got into the middle lane, probably doing about 90 (it was a downhill too) then move over into the right lane just to get around some people. I come up on this crown vic and just kind of wonder if its a cop. But I dont really see the relector on the bumper, and its a dark color.

Well I don't really get on his ass, but I come up from behind and change lanes. Right as im passing him my buddy looks over and tells me this dude it staring right at us, and so I go "why" and look over to see this on the side of his car "Austin Police: Highway Enforcement" and I start laughing and im like hahaha oh **** he got me. So I slow it down and go ahead and keep going by him anyway and of course he pulls me over. He was a pretty nice guy because I kept it short and sweet. Had my DL and insurance out already for him, and told him I knew I was speeding, only because I came up on him pretty fast from behind. He was nice enough to drop it down 5mph from an 85 in a 55 to 80 in a 55.

No big deal, I'll just take defensive driving. What's even more funny is that my insurance just lowered my rates because I hadn't gotten a ticket or been in a wreck since like 2005. Oh well good things can't last forever.

I got a ticket recently from an Alabama State trooper. Tried to give me a hard time because no proof of insurance and no registration. I told him to run my tag cause it was registered to me and current. It shut him up when he realized I was no fool and he could not f with me.
I knew I was speeding and told him so. The ticket before that was in Florida an airplane got me doing 91 in a 65 on the turnpike. I had pulled in to get some grub when a z28 trooper dang near locked his brakes up jumped out and asked the chick that got out of the next car if she was driving mine. That trooper wrote me a ticket faster than anyone I have ever seen and I have had lots of tickets. His radio went off and the guy in the plane goes. You got a suv doing 110mph GET HIM. The trooper says slow down handed me my copy and peeled out. I watched him hawk the guy down.

The highway enforcement cops are BADDDD!!!!! Be careful they used t only have the dark blue cars with even darker highway enforcement lettering, now they have the white ones with an egg shell color lettering, and they have some tan ones kind of like the travis county sheriffs car color and a brownish lettering. And like ChevyLee said the bike cops are bad. They like to hide under the over pass on mopac right near barton springs I believe be careful.

Don't they know its illegal to park under an overpass? If they are under the overpass or parked on a shoulder at night without their lights on, lawyer up. They cannot be breaking the law while waiting to catch another law breaker. Just like if they have a light out on their vehicle, that is a violation breaker, also, operating a defective vehicle on a public roadway and will get your ticket tossed with a good lawyer. In Texas, speed limits are subjective. Any good traffic attorney will tell you that. The speed limit is posted to try to regulate traffic speeds but if the flow of traffic is 80mph is a 60mph zone, then the speed limit is 80mph in that area. Rolling with the flow, as they say.

Its true. The speed limit is not a set in stone law, depends on weather conditions and such.that being said...I got a warning from a trooper in Parker county for 65 in a 60! what a prick...5 over

If you're alone in your vehicle when you get stopped for speeding you're more likely to get a ticket than a warning. Always remember to be friendly and don't argue any points of contention, that's what court is for. If you have your family with you, it's more likely that you'll get a warning if you have children along with you. They do that to try to keep from making children afraid of the po-po. If it's you and a bunch of your buddies, sorry Charlie, chances are great that you're getting the citation. If you have your girlfriend with you and she's hot or reminds the po-po of his daughter, damn son, you may be going to jail!
