    Need to vent

Ok guys, I dont really post much but I love to read what everyone else has to say. Heres the story. I have a 82 chevy truck with a 00 camaro ls1. I orderd a radiator and fans from griffin which was not cheap. I know I should of went another route but I thought this would be the easiest to drop in and go. Well the first one went in and as soon as fluid was added it leaked. It was not leak checked before shipping. So it took 3 weeks to get a new one out to me. Now this one lasted about 6 months until the epoxy started to leak, so I sent it back without fans to get replaced. 3 more weeks pass and I get my third radiator from them with no mounting brackets for the fans. So at this point I am pretty furious and griffin is closed so I cant let them have over the phone until tomorow. Just had to vent a little so I dont go insane. Has anyone else ever delt with griffin and had any problems?

I'd demand a refund for full price plus all shipping costs. About all your choices are C&R, BeCool and factory replacements.

What was wrong with the stock radiator? What about a new replacement radiator with LS1 fans? And a Nelson fan harness?

Well first the inletes and outlets are wrong and I thought it would be cleaner looking to have them where they belong instead of running longer hoses. Second the stock radiator did not have the provision for the steam port from the head. I dont know if I could have deleted the steam line so I went for the safe route. Curently going threw some options. 1- have griffin send me the brackets for the fans and weld them on then send griffin the bill. 2- griffin offered to build a $200 shroud and sell it to me for $100 but I want it to be free of cost for all the trouble. If all this fails then I will demand my money be reimbursed. If I were to do a swap like this again I would definately go another route.

I'm going to use my stock radiator and just get some flexible steel hoses for the funky angle. I was planning to tap the radiator and install a fitting for the steam line. I'm routing my trans lines to an external cooler on the other side[front] of the radiator.

Here's how I'm running my top hose. I'm gonna connect that steam line into the radiator where the old heater hose went(I'll post a picture of that on the weekend).

Ok, so my situation has finaly been resolved. I have had my truck back for a week now without a problem. I got my brackets in and had them welded to the radiator. Now I will send griffin the bill and be done with it. I will try and get some pics up by this weekend.
