I have been through 2 sets of brake pads in the last 3 months on both trucks. I started off with cheap ones and they sqeeked. So I upgraded and they still sqeeeeeeeek bad. Had rotors turned and the hard where kit replaced. the rotors were new when I bought the first set.Any advice on what else can I do?This is going to drive me nuts

Put a piece of asbestos gasket material or soft copper between the pad and the caliper?

make sure the "squealers" are not bent and riding on the rotors.
Also, IMO, just do the factory pads. G.M. has come a long way in the last few years as far as pad life. Just my opinion.

Our NBS 07's brakes squeel at just 5k. It sucks but I'll fix it one day.

Go to Oriellys and get some of there Wagner Thermo Quiets. The severe duty ones are the best pad out there IMHO.

I will second the Thermo Quiets... I put them on my ex-g/f's OBS z71 (the OBS's were notorious for squeaky brakes) and the squeaks went away. +1 for the Wagners...
