The truck is a '03 1500HD that has 4WD, 6.0L, 4L80E, G80, crew cab, short bed, heavy toolbox, 265/75/16 BFG muds and around 76,000 miles. I put a Volant CAI, Magnaflow dual exhaust, a DiabloSport Predator on the truck too. I used the '87oct tune w/ the predator. Yes, yes I know a Nelson tune can do more for me. Anyway...
I use this truck for everything. It sees towing regularly. It's my daily driver. The gas mileage sucks, it's not all me I've tried slowing down and just didn't gain much. It's averages 11c/14hw mpg.
The only problem with the truck, besides the gas mileage, is it seems to missing some low end torque. The intake and exhaust didn't do much, but made it sound good, big woop. I'm not looking for high end here, it already comes alive on top.
What do yall suggest I do to gain some low end on the truck? Just trying to gain some knowledge here. Could it possibly the torque management?
Thanks yall!
