Hey all. It looks like there has been a bit of a Texas invasion here lately. I came over from performancetrucks.net. I've got a blue '02 Tahoe LT 2wd. I haven't done a whole lot to it yet other than a mcgaughy's 2/3, Silverado SS wheels, tinted the front windows, took the badges off and put gmc pickup chrome bullet trim on it. It currently is my daily driver, so I don't really know what else I should do to it yet. I'd like to put a radix on it, but I don't really have 6g's burning a hole in my pocket. heh.

Here's a picture of it before the tint, badge removal, and gmc side trim. I need to get some newer pics, but it's been raining a lot here.

thanks man. I need to get an updated pic. The gmc bullet moldings, lack of badges, and the tint make a world of difference on it.

Welcome to the site! Nice lookin vehicle you got there. Good call on the GMC stuff. I really like how the GMC stuff looks too...I have been debating whether to just strip all of my badges and trim off or to replece the trim with the GMC ones like you... Either way, it should look good. Get some pics up of your ride with the new stuff on. There are a few members on here who live in Wylie. Just don't hang out with them too long...cause you will spend a bunch of money modding your Hoe! Oh, and a Radix isn't $6K (only if you buy a new, complete unit)...you just have to shop around...you could probably pick up a used, low mileage unit for around $3500...

Well, I am fighting myself everytime I start looking at this site or performancetrucks. I'd love to go nuts on it and change almost everything, but I swore to myself that I would leave it operating like a stock vehicle. Now granted, I've lowered it and put different wheels on it, but that doesn't really affect the driveability. I don't want to have to deal with crap like a big cam/stall converter and worrying about programming, or header leaks and rattly exhaust crap. It may sound gay, but I want a vehicle that does what it's supposed to all the time. The reason I would put a radix on it is because from everything I've seen and read about them, they are one of the most reliable/driveable modifications to do to a 5.3L. I've already got my camaro that is fast and modified to hell...I don't need my daily driver to be that way too. You know?

I'm also going to try and get some new pictures this week since the weather is supposed to be nice.

Who all lives in Wylie and where?
