    if i took off my cats with long tube headers on my 05 4.8 will it mess up my sensor. will the check engine light come on

    The rear 02 sensor light will come on due to cat efficiency being dead. Get the rear O2s tuned out and you should be fine.

    I'm pretty partial the the NelsonPerformance tunes by Allen(farmtruc). There are other tuners that would be local to you but most tuners do a one time only tune and you pay for a full tune every time you make a change to your engine. The benefit of the Nelson mail order tune is that he sells you a lifetime upgradable tune that all you pay for is reasonable shipping charges when you need a new tune. You're also dealing with one of the nation's top tuners. Like I said, you can find someone local that will give you a good tune if you prefer to deal with a brick and mortar company but if you can be patient and wait for a mail order tune it will be worth the money. When dealing with Nelson he sends you a tuned PCM that you can run a few days before sending him your core back. You can buy his PCM module if you prefer to keep your stock PCM for a backup.
