i have gotten conflicting info on what is needed to make this swap work.

first, i was told that all that is needed is the gm flywheel spacer and a detent cable for the throttle body. the spacer is around $30, i have the part numbers someone posted on here a while back.

today, i was talkin with a guy from scoggin dickey and he says i need have to have a $200 flexplate from TCI that has dual pattern bolts holes so it will bolt up to the th350 converter. says if you move the flywheel, the starter may not work. he called TCI, and that is what they told him.

if anyone has done this swap, can you help me out.

    thanks

You're not moving the flywheel, you are adding more length to the crankshaft snout. The adapter goes between the flywheel and the torque convertor.

You can use a $60 flywheel from a 98 Z28(i believe thats the year). It has several different bolt patterns. You will also need longer bolts for the spacer.
