Well I've been holding off posting about the 224/224 because I've been afraid "something" would happen to throw a wrench in things again. But um, this freakin thing screams. I absolutely love it.

Billy took care of me once again with the install (I owe you big time Billy) and Allen's tune seems to be doing pretty dang good.

The night i picked the truck up, Billy was concerned and said it seemed sluggish. Sure enough, all the way down Cooper St. and a good ways home on I-20, it did - I would give it the ol' gas and one time, the hood popped up and the engine literally leaned out over the fender and said "you want me to do WHAT...?!?" Then it laughed, flipped me the bird and crawled back into the engine bay and slammed the hood behind it.

But then, one of the times when I was nearly to Mesquite, I tried flooring it again and it busted up some of the asphalt off the road. From then on, every day, it's been getting better and better. It's pretty much leveled out now so I'm ready to log a run on HP Tuners and see how everything looks.

I'll probably be heading to Ennis on the 25th and will hopefully finally see what this thing is really capable of.

Oh, P.S. No. My truck didn't bust any asphalt off the road. So don't any of you noobies ask any goofy questions or accuse me of lying. It was a metaphor. Kind of. But my engine did get out and talk to me - that was freaky...

I'm not touching it it's finally running right I think.

Uh oh - my wife just saw your post - lol

Anyway, my pulleys are still on the way, so that will help a little more.

MORE MORE MORE that's what it's all about right?

    Hmmm...what's next?

I need tires. For some reason I'm losing tread faster on my back tires than my front. It's the strangest thing...

When your motor leaned over the fender to talk to you, did it scratch the paint? Can your motor do paint work too?

How are you liking the 112 LSA? Is it still manageable? Since you have the computer contolled TB, is it ok at idle with the new tune? And with the .563, did you loose that much power down low?

So what's next...heads? FI? Meth? NX? Another cam? Speaking of which, is that deal we made still valid? Hehehehe...

Oh, and did your truck REALLY bust asphalt off the road???????????????

The tune seems to be right on, I'm really happy with it. If there's room for improvement, it's nothing really noticeable. It idles fine and oddly enough it sounds like my other cam.

As far as losing low end, it's hard to tell. I mean it will still sit there and spin til there's no tread left (almost), so I'm not noticing any significant losses, no.

Whatever. Red doesn't know jack squat. He is probably one of the most unknowledgeable guys here....hehe....j/k. I went back and searched old threads...you were right on. Good call. You are like the GM whore--you've been around the block a few times and know how to do it the right way to get her to perform the best...

Yankee and I sat and talked about a cam for his truck one evening at the track. He could have easily been one of my children because my advice went in one ear and out the other.
