convertor! You can increase boost any time.
See my truck data in the "My Garage" section here... http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/my-ga...tml#post191709
Heres some info my best 60 foot time is 2.0 went 14.4 @ 93
The stall is about $800
If I go to 10psi I would have to buy 60 pound injectors, wideband, 918 spring, and another fuel pump to run inline with my 255 intank pump (to be safe)

If wilde racing can cut 1.67 60s with a stock converter why upgrade? If 4hi with more boost you can bring that thing on up to 3K atleast. Wilde hit 3200 if I remember right. More boost and have fun.

Plus, I don't think 2500HD is as rough on his truck as wilde. he still wants a safe daily driver. If wilde racing can cut 1.67 60s with a stock converter why upgrade? I'd say 3000stall, if you don't tow heavy stuff and 10psi, with pump and injectors, not sure if that's over the budget or not.
good luck,
