I was going through some of the used parts here at the shop and I have a new efan off a ford crown victoria police car. The fan is 18 inches in diameter and the shroud is 26 inches. I hooked it up to the battery charger and it put out a ton of air. Would this be enought to cool me truck or no?

I'm not Red, but a guy I knew had a fan like those on a 97 chevy truck and he said it worked fine. I was thinking of putting one of those in my truck cuz he gave me one, but to be safe i went with an impala efan.

It should be fine. Be sure you seal off the fan housing to the radiator so that it has to pull 100% of it's source air through the fins. I ran LS1 fans on my 92's 34 radiator and it worked fine. The 2005 Silverados work a lot better though.
