Just got the headers in the mail from Summit today. When I looked at them though, every primary has about 1/8 in. coming inside of the plate that bolts on to the engine. This cant possibly seal can it? I cant belive that there's supposed to be that much of a lip inside of the headers.

    Any ideas?

My buddy had a set on his ride and he couldn't ever get them to stop leaking. I think he finally had them brought to a machine shop and they hooked him up with truing up all contact surfaces.

Tried to post pics but it says the file is too large even though I shrunk it....
but basically there is a ring around each primary where (I think) it should be smooth to mate to the engine

That's the old school way of making an oring to work with paper gaskets Surely they'll still seal with the stock MLS gaskets.
