    should i upgrade timing chains to an LS2 timing chain an that dampner? or should i just run my stock one considering ill only be spinning up to 6100

    Might as well do the Heavy duty chain since your in there. Its only another 40.00 or so. Would be a good peice of mind. Glad we could be of assistance.

    is the LS2 chain what i need? i think thats what i read as an upgrade for the 5.3

    LS2 timing chain
    wedge style dampner

    what else should i put while its torn apart?
    i have 1,000 miles on my motor should i really replace the o-ring on the pick up tube?

    I use a simple rule of thumb for the oring. If its been at operating temp then toss it. That simple little $3 oring can kill your whole motor. Just be sure and replace it with the correct one. They are color coded. That should be it.. Chain # is 12586482

    ill bring the o-ring with me to the dealer or to Thunder Racing when i go get the dampner.

    yall think i should install a shift kit along with my stall an servos? should i buy the longer servo pin with the Billet servos an 4th gear servo?

    i was reading on gmfullsize.com of a guy building an LQ4 an he sprayed oven cleaner on it..wouldnt that ruin the oil for a few changes bc it doesnt all drain out when you change the oil?

    i got a small write up on the cam swap an servos..but nothing in major detail ya know? imma have to start adding more parts needed to my list an such forth..
