    Hey guys--its Tyler. Well, since Dale has his tampon stuck somewhere, I decided to come over and hold his hand to get this thing torn apart to see what the culprit is...
    Dale has gone to the shop to grab some parts and I took the driver's side head off. #3 is gone, and the piston was blown into about 3 big pieces. The cylinder walls of #3 are scored, but only about .030. Its not dead--it can be bored out. The intake valve for #3 has the bell broken off, but the entire head is trashed. The other pistons on the driver's side have eyebrows on them from the intake valves. WELL...so the advancing of the cam is what caused this. I think I heard Dale just pull up...time to go out and give him the news. I am sure we'll take pics, so stay tuned my little girlfriends...

    double check the settings on the cam adjuster to see how far its advanced.

    Its a good thing the block is salvageable. Hope its up and running soon.

    Cam was advanced 4 degrees per the instruction sheet.3 possible keyways and the one i used should have said AUTO DESTRUCT! on it!
