The Nova Super Sport was transformed from a trim option to a performance package for 1968. One of the smallest muscle cars ever fielded by Detroit

Any car designed from the factory to run a 4 cylinder engine is a pony car and if it doesn't have a full frame it sure isn't a full bodied muscle car.

An SS Nova with a 4 cyl? A 68+ Nova is close in stature to a chevelle or any other a-body beside maybe a monte carlo and they have full frames

I see what you're saying about the frames...Still no way a 68+ Nova can be classified as anything but a muscle car...just my opinion of course

Naw, the Nova was so much smaller that they classified it as a compact muscle car when they made the SS. It was in the same class as the Darts, Duster, Falcon, Comet and Maverick. True muscle cars were large of stature. Hell, some even consider the Mustangs as Pony Muscles cars, anything that someone shoehorned a big engine into. Hell, even an original Shelby Cobra is considered a muscle car just because they put big blocks in them. The true definition of a muscle car is how you feel about it, I guess. Me, I believe a muscle car is a large full frame car that came factory equipped with a big block.

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference
Then we all must agree we lived to see the pony car turn into a capable 2+2 grand tourism car, able to compete with the best of the world in any course !
And live up to the heritage of making some good straight line numbers.
If Greg's and Quik's definition is correct, then the CTSV and the G8 are considered muscle cars, yes? If so, then i completely agree with boosted. I fell in love with the G8 once i first read about it. Always been more into pontiac cars than chevy for some reason, except for the vette of course.
