Anyone know if this same pin swap technique will work between 1997 pcm and the "411" unit with red and BLUE connectors?

As of now, I have no reverse lights, no HVAC blower.........and if the truck is running with headlights on, the ignition switch won't kill engine power. You can turn key off, then kill the truck with the headlight switch Also, brake lights come on the second you turn the ignition switch on, and dash lights only work with headlights off.

I'm going nuts trying to marry the two PCM units together!!!!

    Thanks fellers!

i would check lt1swap.com first to make sure the pin locations are the same. also those issues have nothing to do with the ls pcm. im running the ls pcm for my entire truck right now. you have a short somewhere that causing those problems. the reverse lights are from the pns switch.

And you were right. Found an unattached ground tonight and that cured lighting and HVAC blower. This brought the old 97 ECM back online. I'm excited though, at the prospect of getting rid of the old ECM altogether, along with all the extra, useless wiring!!

Sorry I haven't been on here in forever but I got the transmission issue figured out it was the fuel pump starving the engine so the pcm wasn't telling the transmission to shift.
