    Will have to get a 4x4 version of the 400 but they did put them in trucks. Could go with an Atlas divorced transfer case for severe duty strength. Maybe even go old school with an NP205 gear drive, you can't break those with 1000HP and 10k lbs of load.

    For a daily driver that is sometimes going to be used at the track I'd probably go with N2O myself and build a solid forged motor. You could build a more reliable 500+ NA HP motor that could handle a 250 shot for track use.

    $15,000 for engine itself.. there are already a couple of 500+hp trucks running around here.. most of them are running 6.0L's N/A.. and he definitley want to beat them.. either in the quarter of mile, or sand drags..

    Need more information. . .. .
    If the 15k is in motor alone. An LSX block built to the hilt in any size would be the way to go. Does he want forced induction or NA?

    LSX 502 with twin front mount 80s. That would be pretty bomb and I doubt many, if any one of those fellows will even be close to him...he will probably go through the 1/4 in the time they do the 1/8.
