i like the 3.73s and i know farm truc tried 4.10s and it slowed him down and he switched back.i think it depends on the appliication to be honest i think 4.10s willl get ya out of the hole quicker ,cus i had the same setup as you originally and mine was a dog to get moving.if you had future plans to swap another motor id go 3.73s [wich is inevitable itll blow ,lol] weigh it out and think of the future mods so you dont waste extra money, like ive done over and over.

will you be taking it to a dragstrip? If so, what size tires will you be racing with?

In my LT1 96 Impala SS (with 27" tires), I installed 3.73s and loved them for about 2 years until the factory posi blew up. At that point I tried 4.10s and even with 29" tires, they got annoying on the highway. However they were NICE at the dragstrip. With 28" drag radials I was topping out 3rd gear at the track which is considered about perfect. Of course that engine didn't want to turn 6000 RPM, and I was just running bolt-ons naturally aspirated.

With nitrous you have the potential to launch a LOT harder. Too much gear is nothing if you can't hook it up. Too much gear can get you in trouble at the top end making you need to shift into overdrive.

4.10s because you need to spend more money buying gasoline.

Much better launches, too. 4.56s if you don't drive fast on the highway. My 4.10s with 285/50/18s run 2750 at 70mph in OD with the 80e. 4.56s would be a bit much for me with my current setup.

4.10s for the fun of it.
    Name: Mark,
God created turbo lag so nitrous trucks could have a chance.

4.10's- cuz you have a smaller motor and because you wanna go faster, not better gas mileage
