My buddy just got him a 03 RST with a 4.8 auto in it. He wonders how it'll do against my 5.3. So we're comin back from town and hit a straight on 270 and both get on it. To my surprise he jumped me slightly and continues to slowly but surely pull away from me. He thinks his truck is stock but it don't hit the rev limit till 6200. I'm still confused on how he beat me. He may be 373 geared but would he really walk off like that? I got 342 and I hate them. I don't know how it happened but it did.

What's a Helix Power Tower? Maybe you have an issue you don't know about (fuel pressure, messed up tune with the Hyper----, etc.)?

A throttle body spacer. It's not throwing any codes tho. I was thinkin about the fuel pressure. I'm gonna check that. Could it be injectors? I plan on doing away with the cats soon but what do I do with the o2 sensors when I get rid of the cats.

get a nelson tune so he can turn off the rear o2's and you'll be fine.

thats what i was thinkin bout my regency too, it didnt run like a factory truck when i bought it in 03, but the pcm is stock and besides the dual exhaust it came with, i couldnt find any perfomance mods.
i got 2 buddies with newer regencys and their trucks came with headers and cai and dual exhaust. one of them has a rarer reg cab that came with the 5.3, most of the reg cabs came with the 4.8, and his truck ran neck in neck with mine even though mine was tuned, not too shabby.
