    Anybody....

    Anybody have any ideas of what maybe i'll run in the 1/4? with the mods in my sig plus the tr224 cam,springs,pushrods,longtubes and a tune from allen?
    1999 5.3 ex cab 3/5 drop, k&n CAI, BBK 80mm TB, Pace setter longtubes, 3" ory, hooker aero muffler, TS 224r cam w/112 lsa, comp cam 918 springs, TS chromoly pushrods, 180 degree thermostat, Nelson tune, 3 angle valve job, electric fans, 28x11.50 et streets

    It'll run decent, but the engine really needs some headers (even if they are shorties) and a higher stall converter.
    Also, I'm guessing the truck has 3.42 gears, that will make the truck take longer to get in it's power band.
    Add a 3200stall to it, headers, and 3.90's at least and it'll run in the 13's.

    With what you listed, probably a 14.2 @ 97mph. Just my guess though.

    ya i ordered pace setter longtubes along with everything else i listed last night....so even witht he headers it should only run low 14's?

    Keep in mind ET has to do with how well the truck gets off the line, MPH is how fast you go down the track. Get off the line and you'll run a 13, but don't get off the line and you'll run slower, but still have a good mph.

    You truck will be violent and strong from a roll though.

    wow you guys are animals and spend to much time at the track haha J/Phey i guess while were on the subject i may as well ask about mine as well haha any ideas what it will run?

    i forgot to mention i'll be running a set of 26x10.50 et streets so that may help alittle bit??? without a stall would 4:10 gears helpout any?

    i sure hope its something like that im throwing some down against a 07 vortec max with exhaust and the nelson

    yes, 4.10s will definitely help out. You might not have such a traction issue either on the sticky track surface.

    SC, you trying to out guess me by just a little bit, hahaha, that's no fair.

    i'll say 14.0 @ 99 but you def. need gears man put gears and a posi with those mods and you'll fly.
