    Mobil 1 since 500 miles. 37,000 miles.

Figures it would go right after the warranty is up.

The crank may be still good even though it locked up.

Wow, SC, that engine is toast! Took it apart today, what fun! I forgot the crank pulley spun on the shaft. The crank may be salvagable if I can get someone to weld the snout and machine it to stock size. Salvaged 5 pistons and maybe 6 rods. You sure know how to break them. You knocked a large chunk out of one of the cylinders when the rod broke, too. Quite the carnage. You should be proud. Want a piece of it for a desk paperweight? A rod and piston? Maybe a bent rod?

    OUCH!

I got off lucky, just a slightly bent rod, I think you could salvage some of the hardware also!

It is only Money, and you can not take it with you, so what the heck.

Good luck with the new 408!
    2006 1500 CC/SB with the 5.3L and Nelson PCM.
soon to come is a intake and exhaust. (wifes truck)

Other vehicle is a 03 2500HD CC/SB 6.6L DMAX straight piped and Edge stacked with Superchips and gauges, Loves to eat rice for sure! Fartcan exhaust makes it better!
