does anyone know of a caprice or impala rear end with rear discs and posi actually being possible to swap into a C/K full size with out any modifications..i know they have the same bolt pattern but is it the same rear end? thanks for any help

i bought most of my parts from summitracing they have no core charge on there calipers.. there cross drill rotor are cheaper then stock .. that will be the part number i'll use . you can go to any auto parts store and buy all these parts or go to the junkyard.

The only thing you really need to modify are the brackets need to be beveled a little, like the diagrams in earlier posts. Then you either weld on the bracket or drill 2 holes in each to bolt it on. Also dont forget to drill the holes to 9/16 in the rotors.
What took the longest was grinding the bracket, test fitting, grinding, testing, etc. Then fitting everything together 3 or 4 times until i was satisfied all was good. Very easy

The disc brake rear isn't a leaf spring rear in the impala if I remember correctly. You'd have to have mounting perches welded to it.

mechanical E-brake calipers on the rear of 79-85 caddys. seville. and, 91641009 is correct!

Using the s10 calipers will cause you to loose your e-brake. If you use the impala rear calipers you will retain ebrake. Just FYI.
