I swapped a 5.3 into my 97 burb
I need a wiring harness
I reached out to nelson but they said it might be 3-5 weeks since they are training a new wiring tech.
What other reputable options is there?

You can try calling this guy. He has a few things for sale and does harness work. Seems reputable. Can't hurt to call him. Here's his ads:

I liked the psi harness when I was looking. I went with NP to simplify things since they were doing my harness
Why not use your 97 harness? You can repin the PCM connectors to the 2-80 pin style and add 10 wires to your harness and run the Gen3 engine.

as far as ive noticed no difference but with the truck maf you will have 1 less plug due to the ls1 style that does not have the iat sensor in it. I make/modify ls1 style and truck harnesses. you will only need the oil pressure wire, coolant temp, vss and ac wires off factory harness which doesnt need the factory ecm. i just did this swap but in a 93 silverado.
