Why not use your 97 harness? You can repin the PCM connectors to the 2-80 pin style and add 10 wires to your harness and run the Gen3 engine.

    Idk doc

Im running ls6 intake with associated injectors
    The 5.3 dbw throttle body

Should I use the 5.3 maf or ls1 maf,
Or there no difference in the two in terms of wiring?

Is there any performance difference between the two maf sensors?

as far as ive noticed no difference but with the truck maf you will have 1 less plug due to the ls1 style that does not have the iat sensor in it. I make/modify ls1 style and truck harnesses. you will only need the oil pressure wire, coolant temp, vss and ac wires off factory harness which doesnt need the factory ecm. i just did this swap but in a 93 silverado.
Bagged 03 Sierra 5.3 swap all stock with tune and vett servo.
