got some more done on it today. let me tell you im BEAT!!! even with the truck jacked up, its still a pain in the ass to work under it!!! im so glad i got the fuel part of it done!!

heres a pic of the vapor canister, vent solenoid, and purge solenoid for a 03 escalade in their stock form.


here is my modified setup to fit my truck. im missing the filter for the vent solenoid. i have it but i cant for the life of me find it... that is really frustrating me cuz i dont know where its at!!! does anyone know why GM would put that stupid 4 inch connector extension on the vent solenoid rather than having the harness plug directly into it? i dont get it.


heres the canister and solenoid mounted (without filter for now). found a nice safe spot for it by the tank. the original was up front but the escalade had it mounted by the tank so i put it there so the ref doesnt say anything about it not being in the "original location"

heres a pic of the truck oil pan hanging below the crossmember. IF YOUR TRUCK IS LOWERED, DO NOT USE A TRUCK OIL PAN!!!! its only 4 inches from the ground unprotected!!!!!!!!!!!!


thats it for a few days. gotta work next week and wait for some more parts. mainly the damn LS1 oil pan. still looking....
