Same set up (car or truck engine setup) will be totally different in a full size vs a mini truck. Power to weight is what any time boils down too. If I wanted to win the shootout every year, I would have an S10 or El Camino built with half the money the Full Size guys spend and win every time. Anyone can take it as trash talk or whatever they want, it is the simple truth. Obviously I could care less or I would pour ALOT more money at my truck and it would not weigh a ton.

old blue ford with the 6cyl runs in the 8's I'm pretty sure. And to say that an S10 can be built for half the money to keep up with the big boys I woulds say is a bit of a stretch. The S-10 arent really that light. They do make way more stuff for them in the Drag race dpt.

Stock for stock I don't believe there is a lot of weight difference like you think between them. I bet it's only 400-500 lbs different. It's not half or anything like that. I'm talking rc vs rc

Well that's funny, my truck weighed 3675 when it was new and stock! And it still weights 3475 with me in it now. That must be a 4cly 5 speed truck or something with 14" steel wheels.

Still doesn't matter, it's a run what u brung competion brother.

You are right, the first gens are crazy light, not the second gens though.

I have a time slip at the house from 1999 when my truck was bone stock that has 3675 written on it which was the weight at the track.
