What kind of mileage are you getting with your conversions.

Just testing the waters here for a conversion. As of now this would be going into a rcsb 4x4. What is the best and average you are getting with maybe slight mods like mild cam and headers, tune, etc. to no mods. What engine/trans are you running and so forth.

With just a tune in my 5.3/4l60 and 3.73 gears in a ecsb 4x4 i get 14-16 around town. Which is 2-3 better than the tbi got. Last weekend i drove from va to pa on I-81 going 75-80 mph and got 17.2 over the whole trip. If i was driving around 65-70 mph i would hope it would rise to 18-18.5 as that is where 3.73s seem to be happiest.

Used to have a 4.3L 5 speed 2wd and averaged 20-21, now have a 5.7 LS6 with the mods in my sig, haven't calculated it since my speedo is way off, but its a lot better than the 4.3 especially on the highway, I'd estimate I'm getting anywhere between 24 and 27mpg with the LS6, not driving the piss out of it. At 85mph it's basically the weight of my foot on the pedal pressing 1/16"on the gas pedal instead of between 1/4 and 1/2 throttle with the V6.

Fbody headers are supposed to fit pretty good.
