a friend of mine here in katy, he doesent do alot of tuning but they have been proven to be faster than a tune from idahorob

Which tune? Rob will sacrifice a couple tenths on the quarter mile for reliability on a truck that isn't meant for racing.

I'm sorry, but I think that is a very ignorant thing to say.

Even if the trucks were the same mods, you introduce a LOT of variables. Driver is a HUGE one.

I don't judge tuners are their ability to make HP, I just them on their ability to make power without sacrificing unnecessary reliability and drive ability.

A bad tune can easily cause $3-15k in damages to a truck.

I love sleepers, my Duramax looks stock and surprises quite a few people.

Hell I can write a tune that would beat an IdahoRob tune but will my tune be reliable and not cause long term damage... umm probably not, will it make huge power... HELL YEAH!

Tuning on diesels isn't hard from a rudimentary standpoint ....just add moar fuel. ( yes it is more complicated I know, but that is the basis... how can you add the most fuel while keeping it together)

I'm actually glad someone found this place and told us... I love the LSX platform.... my current project may sport one and if not it will definitely be in my next project for sure.

yeah, only because they drive the baddest of the bad. We're fast because we put down over 1000 ft/lbs of tq with our massively heavy engines. It's badass because we can go fast in an 8000+ lb vehicle. Too bad they can't build a lightweight diesel that doesn't require a super heavy frame to support all the weight. Imagine how much fuel they could save. Oh wait, VW has diesels getting 60 mpg even though they can't pull 20,000 lbs but then again when was the last time you saw a diesel truck with a load behind it? Just messing with you guys. Diesel trucks have a place and it is pulling a load. I'd like to have one but I'm not laying out $50,000 to buy a new diesel rig. Maybe I can buy me a Kodiak truck and have a real diesel.

I saw what you did thar many times.... but the Kodiak has the same Duramax we have.... but I wouldn't take a '11+ one if you gave it to me.... NO EFI Live support, and that makes me sad, My LMM fk'n scoots for a big ass heavy truck and I can latch onto 20k lbs and tow the fk out of it.

Maybe one day when I want to laydown the scratch for a new air dryer spinny thingy I will go after vets in my 7500+ lbs rig (tool box full of tools too!)

The Modded LSX trucks are badass, I will admit and I want one. I just have a need for a diesel and it makes more sense for me.

I don't know for sure but if you put a turbo on a gas engine of the same cubic inch as a diesel and run the same boost, what would power and torque #'s look like from diesel to gas just wondering?
