The day GM offers a 6.2/6l80e in a RCSB is the day I buy a new truck.

Smallest truck you can get the 6.2/6L80e in now is a ESCB 2wd 1500.

Supposedly if you go through fleet sales you can get a 6.2/6L80e in a RCSB. I have tried everything else to get a 6.2 in a RCSB, but another option is paying the dealership to swap the motor.

Not calling on bs on that because you said it, I'm calling bs on it because the dealer said it. They may say it, but whether or not they honour it is a different story. Especially since an outside shop did the work. I don't trust service managers as far as I can throw them.

I don't even care about warranties, after working in a GM dealer, albeit a dishonest one, I've realized they are all but useless for anything major.

As long as you are getting a crew cab, 2009 and later is what you want. If you are getting an ECSB, get a 2010 or later. This is simply so you will have the 6l80e trans.

I can get 17 if I drive lightly but average 12-14 driving 75-80 everywhere in my 6.2, but I am 4x4. Side note, first time towing with my 6.2 and was amazed. I towed my red truck to SAR and was really surprised in the power and that is with 3.42s. Keep in mind, I am coming from a Dmax and was still impressed from diesel to gas.
