Brake light is simple, pull the bulb.

As for the speedo reading, I would only worry about it in HI range since that is where you do most of your driving. Hopefully you're only using LO range when offroading. The speedo is likely wanting some signal telling it that you're in LO range so it knows to use a multiplier to adjust the speed output. Even if you had a toggle swith on the dash it still may not be correct due to the fact you likely have a different gear range in LO with the 88 transfer case vs the stock unit calibrated for the PCM.

Thanks red, the dash is 06 (iirc) escalade, much like the 04 silverado only fancier. The lights are LEDs on a printed circuit board and not able to be unplugged. Some of them work off of logic supplied by the BCM. most of it works great and folks really need to look twice at it. Cruise works and so does the driver information feature. Lol.

I would imagine the same on the 4x4, some intermediary computer re configure the VSS signal so that both shifting and spedo work in both HI and low. But what is it? Can I intigrate it into my blazer ?

That tow/haul feature sure would be nice.
That BCM puts out something to the pcm, but what ?

For the TOW/HAUL button you can switch the tune from Class 2 input to 1 or 2 switch input. Once that is done, the BCM is no longer required for it to work.

Thanks, I'll see what I can find on doing the switch.
Is that something I can do with my hptuners software?

Yes, under TRANSMISSION-->GENERAL-->GENERAL PERFORMANCE OPTION Pull down menu

Beta may be required for this, but this has been in there a long time.
